Cecil Precinct will enhance South Melbourne by providing an innovative, contemporary building that re-thinks the future workplace and improves the public realm.

It provides an engaging commercial building for the ensemble site.

Located in an amenity-rich site, this proposal seeks to provide a “human” office building in contrast to the corporate HQs of the CBD and Docklands. It acknowledges South Melbourne’s potential as a satellite commercial destination for creative industries and start-ups.

The local context of South Melbourne is integral to the proposal's urban design, articulation and materiality. The building is within the compliant planning envelope to be respectful to its neighbours, particularly the South Melbourne Market and the Heritage Pub.
